We believe in the Bible, that it is God’s Holy Word! We believe that marriage is the blessing and design of God in which one man is joined to one woman in a single, exclusive union as delineated in the Scriptures (*see references). We believe that God intends for sexual intimacy to occur between only a man and a woman who have been joined together in marriage. We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity is to be engaged in outside of the bonds of matrimony. We believe that any form of sexual immorality such as adultery, fornication, homosexuality (please read more here), bisexuality, bestiality, incest, pornography, any attempt to change one’s sex or disagreement with one’s original biological sex or gender, is sinful and offensive to God. We believe that in order to preserve the function and integrity of the church as the local “Body of Christ”, and to provide a biblical role model to its members and its community, it is imperative that ALL persons employed by the church in any capacity, or even those serving as volunteers, will abide by and agree to this Statement on Marriage and Sexuality, and will conduct themselves accordingly. – *Genesis 2:18-24; Hebrews 13:4; 1 Corinthians 7:2; Galatians 5:19; Ephesians 5:3; 1 Thessalonians 4:3; 1 Timothy 1:10; Jude 7; Revelation 21:8
